I no longer have any children at home so I have never even considered doing the Elf thingie. I guess if my kids were young and at home I would try incorporating the Elf into the Advent season. It would give me an opportunity to reflect on Advent and come up with interesting ways to have Advent discussions with the little ones. Perhaps the Elf could help to explain the real meaning of the season to them.

asks how we feel about the Elf on the Shelf craze.

It would give me an opportunity to reflect on Advent and come up with interesting ways to have Advent discussions with the little ones.
