Waffle Battered Fried Chicken #MoviesandMunchies

We went to visit our son, Chuck, earlier this month.  Chuck lives in Virginia and the first night that we were there we decided to watch a movie.  I requested that we watch Hidden Figures as I had chosen it for our Movies and Munchies film this month.

Hidden Figures

I told him that I was going to make a recipe inspired by the movie and he said "Just make Fried Chicken, it's a movie about black women in Virginia".  Sure enough, the very first food scene was a gathering at a church picnic and the first food on the table was Fried Chicken.

Onion Lover Rolls #BreadBakers

These soft, tender, dinner rolls have onions three ways.  There is powdered onion in the initial batter.  Caramelized onions are folded in during the kneading process and also sprinkled on top with fresh red onion before baking.
