Slow Cooked Asian Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs, Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (2 breasts)
- 1/3 c. honey
- 3 T. butter, melted
- 1 T. soy sauce
- 1 T. hoisin sauce
- 1 T. seasoned rice wine vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 t. ginger paste
- slurry of 1 T. cornstarch with 2 T. water
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into 6 pieces of equal size and thickness. Place into the crock of a slow cooker.
- Whisk together the honey, butter, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, garlic and ginger. Pour over the chicken and flip to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for about 2 hrs. Stir the slurry into the sauce in the slow cooker, flip the chicken again to coat, cover and continue to cook for another hour, until sauce is thickened and chicken is cooked through.
