From Cutting for Stone to Gone Girl

I forgot to post that I finished "Cutting for Stone" while I was on vacation.  What a powerful book about cultures, relationships, dreams, disappointments and (most of all) love in all it's various aspects.  I would highly recommend this book.

I am about halfway through with "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn.  I am intrigued by it thus far.

  1. Cutting for Stone is one of my ALL TIME favorite books. When I finished reading it I found myself sad and missing the wonderful storyline and writing. Funny enough, someone gave me the book because they just couldn't get into it. Goes to show, books are truly personal. I absolutely loved it!

    1. I enjoyed it also, MaryAnn and you are so right about the personal taste thing. I have read books that got great reviews and wondered why I wasted my time and then have read others that got no notice or bad reviews and have loved them. Same thing with movie reviews.
