I topped my waffles with butter and pure Maple syrup. They are also delicious topped with yogurt and fresh fruit if you want to add a little more nutrition to start your day.

Oatmeal Waffles
These waffles are made with oats, giving them a wonderful, toothsome bite that makes for a stick-to-your-ribs breakfast that will last you right up until lunchtime.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. oats
- 3 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 6 T. butter, melted
- 2 T. brown sugar
Instructions
- Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, butter, and brown sugar. Pour into the flour mixture, stirring until blended.
- Cook per waffle maker directions.

Great idea to add oats, Wendy! I'm not a huge fan of oatmeal/porridge but this is a warm breakfast I would really enjoy.
