Grilled Cabbage #Farmer'sMarketWeek

If you are a cabbage lover, you will love this quick and easy preparation.  Perfect as a side dish, all grilling season long.

Grilled Cabbage

We're hitting the Farmer's Markets this week......

This is one of my happiest times of the year.  I love nothing more than stopping at roadside stands, going to local farmers' markets, and hitting u-pick farms.

Jolene of Jolene's Recipe Journal loves it too and invited us all to join her today, Wednesday, and Friday to share some of our favorite ways to serve up the fresh bounty......

Grilled Cabbage Pin

The best thing about Farm Fresh Produce, in my opinion, is that it needs minimal preparation, to give maximum flavor, nutrition, and taste.

I brought this head of cabbage home.  Sliced it, leaving the core intact to hold its shape, brushed it with olive oil, seasoned it with salt and pepper, and put it on the grill until charred and crisp-tender.  I could have made a meal of it.

  1. Adding the smoky flavor from the grill brings out so much in fresh produce. Simple and complex at the same time!

  2. How have I never had grilled cabbage before? I'm definitely going to try it with my fresh basil honey mustard dressing!!! Sounds like a great way to cook it!
