Dill Pickle Compound Butter #ImprovCookingChallenge

This combination of butter and dill relish is perfect for shmearing on a bagel with tuna salad, topping a grilled chicken breast or enfolded in ground beef for an amazing butter burger.

I am joining in the Improv Cooking Challenge to see who creates the best recipe containing Butter and Pickles......

Nichole of Cookaholic Wife give us two ingredients each month and challenges us to make a recipe that contains both.  It is a lot of fun seeing how many different recipes can be made containing the same two ingredients.  This month we were given Butter and Pickles.

Hmmmmm.....butter and pickles....I knew immediately that I wanted to make a compound butter.  I love having compound butter in the refrigerator.  Your possibilities are endless and the addition of this butter takes an ordinary dish and elevates it to levels not previously thought of.

I like using an Herb Compound Butter on grilled steaks.  This Herb Tomato Butter is perfect on pasta.  When given a French Onion Butter from a sponsor for a different event, I made the most amazing burgers ever!!

That French Onion Butter Burger was so good that I knew I wanted to use this Dill Pickle Compound Butter to make Butter Burgers again.  They were absolutely delicious.  The butter assures that your burger will not be dry, even if you like yours cooked well done.

I made 1/4 lb. burgers, dividing the ground beef and then adding a dollop of the butter to each.  I then wrapped the burger around the butter and flattened into patties again.  I seasoned them with Montreal Steak Seasoning which is my favorite for using on grilled beef.  Onto the grill they went for about 5 minutes per side.

While they were on the grill, I divided the remaining butter between the buns on which the burgers would be served.  My Angel Face is a pickle nut.  She loved these burgers, added more pickles to the top of the burger and a pile of pickles to her plate.  She has been known to ask for pickles for breakfast and her favorite lunch is hard salami with butter and pickles.  This will be much easier for me to make for her using this compound butter.
