Sweet and Spicy, this popcorn will keep you happy as you watch the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunter.
It's time for Movies and Munchies. Last month's selection, chosen by Amy of Amy's Cooking Adventures, was KPop Demon Hunter. Some of us who participate in this group got busy and didn't get a chance to watch it so it was extended through to this month.
I was happy because I was one of those who didn't watch it in September, as I was out of the country. When we got back from our trip to Italy, and settled back in, I turned on this Animated Tween-oriented Movie about a girl band who are actually undercover demon hunters.

I started off not really liking the film but as it went on it grew on me. There is a lot of food inspiration, mostly Asian junk food.
During the film, some demons form a boy band, and the demon slayers, being normal teenagers (almost), are enthralled by the cute boys. When they look at the boys, their eyes turn into ears of corn that pop! That was my inspiration for the recipe that I'm sharing today.
I found this recipe on Shuman Farms' website. I adapted it to make only one serving, as Frank doesn't care for spice, and the girls weren't home. I stole 2 cups of the popcorn he had made and reduced the ingredients. It is so good that I plan on making it again when the girls are home.....They are going to love it!!
Today is our eldest child, Amy's, birthday. She and her husband went up north with friends so we will be celebrating with a family dinner on Sunday. Tonight we are going to see Camelot and will go out for dinner afterward.
On Wednesday, we are going to another Somm Slam. They are so much fun. This time they are featuring the Prisoner Wines from Australia.
Thursday, I will be with the host of this event, Amy, as we sing farewell at her grandmother-in-law's funeral Mass. Then on Friday, we head out of town for a wedding.
You will find the recipe for this fun Korean Popcorn following the Weekly Menu.
