We were having a birthday gathering for the girls, so I decided to season a batch with maple syrup and spices and roast them to put on the appetizer buffet. So good!!

Sweet and Spicy Roasted Cashews
Raw cashews tossed with maple syrup and spices, then roasted to a golden brown. A delicious sweet/spicy treat.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. raw cashews
- 2 T. Maple Syrup
- 1/2 t. chili powder
- dash of allspice
- 1/4 t. cumin
- dash of cayenne
- large pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
- Whisk together the syrup, chili powder, allspice, cumin, cayenne, and salt in a bowl.
- Add the raw cashews and toss until coated. Spread onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated 325* oven for about 17 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let cool completely on the parchment before separating and placing into a serving bowl.
