On the Second Day of Christmas we are celebrating with Snickerdoodle Muffins for #MuffinMonday

Are your Christmas Cookies all gone leaving nothing but crumbs and fond memories?  Are you missing having a cookie with your morning coffee?  All is not can make these Snickerdoodle Muffins and enjoy all the flavors of your favorite cookie during the remaining days of Christmas.

If you are like me and LOVE snickerdoodles these muffins are going to start your day off with a smile.

Snickerdoodle Muffins

Snickerdoodle Muffins

All the flavors of a snickerdoodle cookie in muffin form.
Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 15 MinTotal time: 20 Min


  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 T. butter, melted
  • cinnamon sugar for sprinkling


  1. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, beating well. Stir in the milk, vanilla and sour cream. Set aside.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a bowl. Make a well in the center and pour the reserved liquid ingredients into the well. Mix with a wooden spoon just until combined.
  3. Divide between 12 muffin cups that have been treated with baking spray.
  4. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes, until a skewer inserted removes cleanly.
  5. Let cool slightly, remove from pan onto a wire rack. Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

  1. You can't go wrong with the flavors of snickerdoodles! I'm sure these didn't last long either. I am imagining them warm with butter!

  2. Who can resist snickerdoodles that too in muffin form I would love to try this.

  3. I've made something very similar and they disappeared in a heartbeat. Bet yours did too, Wendy!
