BreadBakers
#BreadBakers is a group of bread loving bakers who get together once a month to bake bread with a common ingredient or theme. Follow our Pinterest board right here. Links are also updated each month on this home page.

We take turns hosting each month and choosing the theme/ingredient.  This month's event is hosted by our leader of this group, Stacy of Food Lust People Love.  Stacy asked us to share loaves of Quick Bread this month.  Here is what we are serving up today.......

I decided to make beer bread because it is the easiest recipe in the world and I was pretty swamped this month with the end of the school year, planning vacations and trying to get all the yard work in order between the raindrops.

You can use any beer that you like in this recipe.  I decided to use Summer Shandy because I love the lemony flavor.  Here's another little secret for you.  Don't want to use beer?  You can use Club Soda or Sparkling Water.  It is the carbonation that you need to help your bread rise.

This bread is great as a side with soup or salad for a quick and easy summer meal.  Enjoy........

  1. Beer bread is one of my favorites, Wendy. I've never heard of summer shandy but it sounds delightfully refreshing. Perfect flavoring for bread or to sip on a hot day. How many ounces are in that bottle, in case I need to substitute?
