Fruit and Cheese go so well together and are great for appetizers, sides with grilled meat or dessert. The members of the From our Dinner Table Group are sharing Patriotic Party Ideas today........
Summer is in full swing at our house even if the weather is not cooperating very well. We have plans for several days of entertaining company before heading out on vacation at the end of the month. We will be in VA with our son, Chuck, over the 4th of July but these skewers are so delicious and easy peasy we will certainly be putting some together to go with whatever else we are doing that day. They are very portable so our possibilities are endless.
Let's take a moment to see what Patriotic Party Ideas the others are sharing. I'm sure I'll be able to get some great ideas for a full menu for the day.

I've marked some of these recipes for upcoming parties other than the 4th of July......good is good regardless of when it is served.
Our summer entertaining started this week with a family Father's Day dinner last night. Today we have the Angel Face and hopefully will be hanging out in the pool if it is nice, if not perhaps a movie is in order.
Tomorrow we are meeting Nicole, Pierre and Anthony for lunch so they can spend time with Frank. They were working on Saturday and couldn't join us. The rest of the week looks pretty quiet until Friday night when Marissa's Godparents are joining us for dinner. They are unavailable when we had planned Marissa's birthday gathering so we will be celebrating that as well as their engagement that happened last week. Very exciting.
So here is what's on the Menu this week. I hope you are all enjoying your summer thus far and that you found some inspiration in the recipes that the From the Dinner Table Group shared today.
