St. Valentine Celebration

In case you haven't noticed...I love to entertain.  I love getting people together to celebrate different occasions or sometimes just to celebrate life!!  During the period between Thanksgiving and New Year we normally have company over 2 or 3 times a week.  This year, I guess because Thanksgiving was so late, we didn't get to invite over a couple of groups of friends that we normally do.  We just ran out of time.  We normally have a get together for the people in Frank's office and we always like to have our music minister and some of the choir over for a nice dinner.  We have hosted the choir party for several years now but we also like to have just a small dinner party for some so that we can sit, visit and relax.

Since we did not find time over the Thanksgiving to New Year holidays we decided to invite them over for a Valentine dinner this Friday.  There will only be 4 other couples so it will be a small intimate dinner....perfect for celebrating St. Valentine.

I found this adorable recipe for a dessert at Hungry Happenings.  This was the first nudge I got to make me think that a Valentine Dinner was a good idea.

Once I saw these, I just knew I had to make them.

Then I took a trip to the Dollar Store and found some more treasures.

I found these cute Diamond Rings that I previously showed you here.
I think they make great napkin rings.

And I bought these champagne flutes.
Frank wrote the guests names on each with a sharpie.
We baked them at 350* for half an hour set the name.
I will use these for seating at place settings.

I have my menu decided and will do all my grocery shopping for that on Thursday.  Today I have to go track down the pans needed for those cheesecakes.  I found some silicone heart pans but they are smaller than I had hoped so I am on a mission today to find the size I want.  Worst case scenario...each guest will get two heart cheesecakes.  Wish me luck!!

I am thriving at home with Thrive at Home Thursday.
