We are celebrating Fall in Italy this month, and I have chosen to focus on Piedmont, Northern Italy, with a Ragu di Salsiccia and a bottle of Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Josetta Saffirio.

Tender, lightly spiced pork meatballs and potatoes in a savory, toasted-flour gravy, known in Quebec as Ragu de Boulettes, are a traditional French-Canadian dish.

This is the 100th month of our Eat the World challenge, and we thought we would celebrate by choosing a dish from our country of heritage instead of cooking from the same country as usual.

Sourdough Bagel Bites #BreadBakers

These Bagel Bites, made with sourdough starter, make a wonderful grab-and-go breakfast. I served them with garlic and Herb cheese as a snack.  They were a wonderful way to start a visit with friends.

These fritters, made with sourdough batter filled with fresh corn, minced jalapeno, a little scallion, and a bit of red bell pepper, are a delicious, seasonal treat, especially when drizzled with a little hot honey.

RV Life-2026 Edition-Cadillac, Michigan and the Weekly Menu

We planned this trip around a Rod Stewart Concert that we were supposed to attend yesterday at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.  Unfortunately, Rod Stewart needed some heart stents.  He is doing fine but had to cancel his upcoming concerts.

We stuck with our plan to camp at Cadillac Woods for a couple of days before the concert.  I'm so glad we did.  Here's a recap.

This delicious dish combines fresh Leaf Lettuce, Grilled Radishes, and Ginger-Marinated Chicken Breasts in a Miso Dressing.  It makes an amazing meal.
