L is for Lemon........

My blogging friends and I get together every other Wednesday to share recipes that start or feature ingredients as we work our way through the alphabet. Let's take a look at the other L recipes being shared today........

Pork Chop pin

As this post goes live, my vacation in Mykonos, Greece, that inspired this recipe, is coming to an end. It has been amazing!   Friday, we start the long trek home.

Last year, for the Letter L, I shared Preserved Lemons, and in 2024, I shared Homemade Lemonade.

Grilled Greek Pork Chops

Marinating these pork chops in lemon, olive oil, and Mediterranean seasoning before grilling guarantees moist, tasty results.

Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 15 MinInactive time: 8 HourTotal time: 8 H & 20 M

Ingredients

  • 6 Boneless, thick-cut, Pork Loin chops
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3/4 c. olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 T. dried oregano
  • 1 t. ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Place the lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin into a gallon-size resealable bag. Shake to combine.
  2. Add the pork chops to the bag, release the air, seal the bag, then massage the marinade onto the chops until they are completely covered. Place in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  3. Heat a grill to medium-high. Remove the pork chops from the marinade and place them onto the grill, discarding any remaining marinade. Grill until the pork chops are nicely marked and have reached an internal temperature of 145 °, about 6-7 minutes per side. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
