Ahhhhhhh....Summertime and the livin' is easy....
I love summertime in Michigan. A lot of people like to vacation in the summer. We may take some small trips, mostly in different parts of Michigan but for most of the summer there is no place I would rather be than in my own backyard.
So when Teri of Our Good Life asked the members of our Wine Pairing Weekend group to share Canned Wines and Picnic ideas I didn't wander far.
I had picked up a 4 pack of Decoy Premium Chardonnay Seltzer with Clementine Orange from the market and had it cooling in the refrigerator. Yes, it does taste as delicious and refreshing as it sounds.
I had originally thought that I would take it with me when we attended music in the park that is held locally each Thursday evening. Then I was sitting outdoors, enjoying the weather and reading my book when I realized I was hungry.
I went into the house and opened the refrigerator, spying some leftover fish from dinner the previous night. I put that fish into the air fryer and made sandwiches for Frank and I. That air fryer is amazing, the fish was just as good and crispy as when I first served it.
We each had another can after lunch as we floated around the pool and counted all of our many blessings. I hope that your summer is starting off well and continues to get better with each passing day.
The Wine Pairing Weekend gang is going to be gathering together later this morning to talk about the different canned wines we found and what we thought of them. We love when others join us. You can find us on twitter chat at 11 AM ET by following #WinePW. Hope to see you there.

The ease of canned wines is fantastic. I got home late for dinner last night and we had 2 cans left of the Le Petit Verre Malbecs, that Michael grabbed to go with our quick dinner. I think it is interesting that a brand like Decoy is deciding to make wine cocktails in a can to bring in new drinkers to the wine market! It is smart!
ReplyDeleteYes, especially as hard seltzers seem to be all the rage today.
