This cocktail made with freshly squeezed orange juice, flavorful gin, and a touch of sweet grenadine syrup is the perfect way to welcome in the Spring.
I was inspired to make this cocktail after watching Wild Mountain Thyme, our Movies and Munchies film for this month.....
Terri of Our Good Life invited us to celebrate March with this Amazon Prime movie set in Ireland. It stars Emily Blunt as Rosemary and Jamie Dornan as Anthony, who grew up together as their families were longtime neighbors and friends.
Rosemary has long loved Anthony, who seems oblivious to her admiration. That is because Anthony is harboring a secret. One day as he is drowning his sorrows in a bar, he runs into another old friend, Fiona, who vied for his attention as a child. She asks what he's drinking and he replies an Orange Blossom. This is a clue to his secret that he is finally drunk enough to share. When he does, Fiona laughs so loud she falls off of the wall on which they had been sitting.
We don't learn his secret until much later in the film. When Anthony does finally share his secret with Rosemary, I knew that I wanted to make an Orange Blossom Cocktail and share it with you. This was a silly, fun movie. If you are looking for a film that is so goofy you will laugh out loud, this is a great choice.
There are numerous recipes for an Orange Blossom Cocktail. I chose this one because I had all the ingredients on hand.
