Preparing for the last Celebration of the Year and the Weekly Menu on the 11th Day of Christmas

Tomorrow is the Feast of the Three Kings...Epiphany...Little Christmas...Twelfth Night.  We are having one last party to celebrate.

Our friends Rob and Linda are in town from Arizona so we have invited them and their daughter to celebrate this last day of Christmas with our family.  We will be joined by Bob, Cathy, Barb, Eric, Jim, Sharon, and John.  Amy and Doug are out of town. But the rest of the gang will be here and I think the Wise Men may have left a little small something for them.

Following our final Christmas celebration we start taking down the Christmas Tree and Decorations.  We have one more celebration though as Frank's sister Roz has invited us to her home for Epiphany.  Our son, Tony, has to work on Saturdays so Roz held off on her Little Christmas Gathering until Sunday so we could celebrate together.

Now that Christmas is over we can get into the spirit of the New Year and start working towards all the resolutions that Frank and I discussed on New Year's Eve.  Our resolutions are our typical promises to each other and ourselves every year.  We will try to eat healthier, move more, and enjoy each day we have.  Hopefully, 2024 will not remind us how precious our time is together and that we should not take it for granted.  We think the last few years have driven that home to us very well, Thank you!!

Today, Frank and I are starting a chair yoga class.  I'm excited that he is willing to give it a try.  Tomorrow is our Epiphany gathering, Melody is staying the night so on Sunday we will take her out for breakfast after Mass.   Tuesday is my friend, Sr. MaryAnn's Birthday so I will go out to take her for lunch and grab something on the road when returning home. The rest of the week is pretty quiet.

Happy 2024.....
