I decided to make a Chocolate Pumpkin Bundt so I could also link to Choctoberfest and give all of my readers an opportunity to win a great prize package.

It was a gorgeous day out and we took advantage of it. I figure this will be the last deck gathering of the season. This cake was the perfect ending to a great day.
Adding some festive Halloween sprinkles makes the cake perfect for an October gathering or for you to serve up to your family as a Halloween treat.

Chocolate Pumpkin Bundt
Chocolate, pumpkin and warm fall spices combine to make a wonderful seasonal dessert.
Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 45 MinTotal time: 50 Min
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Chocolate Cake Mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. pumpkin puree
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. canola oil
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t. freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 T. heavy cream
- Sprinkles, if desired
Instructions
- Combine the cake mix, pumpkin, eggs, oil, water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- Pour into a bundt pan that has been treated with baking spray and bake in a preheated 350* oven for 40-45 minutes, until a skewer inserted removes cleanly.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar and cream in a small bowl. Add additional cream, 1 teaspoon at a time, if needed to get to desired consistency. Pour over the cooled cake and top with sprinkles, if desired.

My first thought when I opened your link was OOOOh, sprinkles! Your cake is very festive, Wendy, perfect for a friendly get-together. Sounds like you are already enjoying some cooler weather and I am super envious!

DeleteLooks so delicious, Wendy, and how great that you could share it with the garden party :-) We are having a couple of friends over, in the garden, this Sunday, still beautiful weather here in Spain to do that, and I am also going to make my pumpkin Bundt. As for the chocolate and pumpkin with spices, there is no better combination!!!
