This is a week-long event. I have posted on Monday, sharing Nut Brittle Cookie Bars. I'm back today with these tasty little morsels, and on Friday, I will share my husband's favorite cookie, the one he insists on each Christmas season.

Every Christmas Cookie Platter has to contain some chocolate cookies. These little darlings are filled with dried cherries, flavored with almond extract and then topped with a delicious glaze. They are sure to put a smile on your face.
Some other great chocolate cookies for Christmas are Cranberry Chocolate Chip Cookies, Hot Chocolate Cookies, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Blossoms.
These cookies are a personal favorite of mine, reminiscent of Chocolate Covered Cherries, which also always make an appearance during the holidays. I have it on good authority that they are also one of Santa's favorites.
I first shared this recipe in December of 2013, when I first began blogging. The recipe format I used back then no longer allows my readers to print it, so I am remaking all my older recipes using a new format.
