Apple Cider Biscuits #BreadBakers

These delicious biscuits use apple cider as the liquid ingredient and include a sprinkle of cinnamon.  What a wonderful combination.  I will be making these again and serving them with Ice Cream and Fried Apples for dessert!!

I served these tasty biscuits as a side with Roasted Chicken Thighs, Baked Pumpkin Rice, and Kale Salad.  They were perfect with the fall themed dinner.

Apple Cider Biscuits

Apple Cider Biscuits

These delicious biscuits use apple cider as the liquid ingredient and include a sprinkle of cinnamon. What a wonderful combination. 

Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 12 MinTotal time: 17 Min

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • 2 t. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/8 t. ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. cold butter, diced
  • 3/4 c. apple cider
  • 1/8 t. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse once.
  2. Add the butter and pulse 3-4 times until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Add the cider and pulse 2 times, just until the crumbs are moistened.
  4. Turn onto a floured surface and knead 8-10 times, then roll into about 1/2" thickness and cut with a 2 1/2" biscuit cutter.
  5. Place onto a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 425* oven for 12 minutes, until golden brown.
