Gratefully Sharing my Weekly Menu including Thanksgiving Day

Here we are at Thanksgiving Week.  I have so much for which to be Grateful.  God has blessed us abundantly.   Last night we enjoyed Friendsgiving with our neighbors.  Having good neighbors is definitely something we are grateful for.

Neighbors

Tonight we are meeting the Luths at The Little Bar for dinner and then heading to a local theater for a Thanksgiving-themed play.  Having good friends is certainly something to be grateful for.

On Tuesday, our son from Denmark (exchange student #2) is arriving for a visit with his family.  We are very excited to spend time with them.  We last visited with them when we were in Paris in 2024, and they flew in to spend the day with us.  Having exchange students who love us as parents and whom we love as our children is something we thank God for each day.

We also have some lighting being installed in our dining room on Tuesday, so here's to hoping they are finished before Dian and his family arrive.

Dian is a huge American Football fan. It was one of the reasons he chose to come to the USA as an exchange student.  He did make the high school football team. Unfortunately, it was not a very good team, but he loved every minute on the field.  The Detroit Lions have a home game on Thanksgiving Day, so the game will be on television, and I will be putting out some snacks for those watching before dinner. We are blessed to have a home with several televisions and plenty of space.

Charcuterie Menu

Many of our family and friends plan on coming over during halftime.  This charcuterie table should keep them content until dinner is served.  Our children, grandchildren, and extended family are a gift from God for which we are truly grateful.

No soup this year.  Dinner will be served buffet-style, as we are expecting about 25 guests.  You know that makes me very happy.  We are so grateful that we have the means to provide a feast on our table and the ability to accommodate as many guests as we want.

On Friday evening, we are taking Dian and his family to the Detroit Zoo for Wild Lights.  We will have an early dinner featuring leftovers.  We are thankful to live in this great country, where we can attend events and festivities in comfort, peace, and safety.

I hope that your Holidays are blessed and that you enjoy the menu I am sharing for this week.  I am grateful to my loyal readers who allow me to share these posts with them.
