This fun, fruity cocktail is the perfect way to start your Mardi Gras celebration.
Jolene of Jolene's Recipe Journal invited the Festive Foodies to join her in celebrating Mardi Gras saying "Let the good times (and good food) roll!!!"
I think it's not a party without cocktails so that's what I'm sharing today. Let's see what the others have brought to the Carnival.......
I love any excuse for a party and I love celebrating other cultures. NOLA is one of my favorite with their Cajun and Creole foods. In the past we have celebrated with Steak Grillades, Muffaletta Salad, Shrimp Etoufee, and Hurricanes. Now I'm excited for next year so I can try some of these recipes being shared today.
Stay tuned for the Ribs, Shrimp and Pecan Rice recipes. I did share the Chocolate Devil's Food Cake on Sunday. King Cakes are a traditional Mardi Gras dessert but can also be served at Christmas. And Beignets are a wonderful way to start the day on Fat Tuesday.
So until we meet again Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler........

ReplyDeleteThanks Teri.
DeleteThese might show up in our house after work today! I think I've made some Zombie jam that you could just stir into an alcohol mix. Almost instant Zombies. I will have to look back in the archives.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing Debra. Let me know if you find it.
