Last Tuesday when we had our Angel Face we got to work on these adorable little cookies.  First the Little Miss and I dunked the cookies in melted white chocolate and put them onto a baking pan lined with parchment to set.

Then while I was making dinner, she and Grampy put on the bandages and the eyes.  Angel Face, by then, had turned into a princess, putting on her tutu.

Spending time in the kitchen with kids for the holidays is so much fun and builds memories that will last a lifetime.

I am sharing my Weekly Menu here with you today as well.  I never got a chance to sit down and make a menu until late last night after we got home from visiting Aunt Irene for dinner.  Aunt Irene loves KFC so we brought her carryout and played a couple of games of pinochle.  It was nice spending time with her.

Today, after Mass, we will be heading on an overnight to the casino with Dick and Jackie.  Karen and the Teen will be holding down the fort here.

It will be a pretty quiet week, mostly spent getting the Teen ready for Homecoming.  The game is Friday night and the dance is Saturday.  Stay tuned for pics.

These fun little cookies on take a few ingredients and come together quickly. Thrill your little goblins with this fun project.

ingredients:

  • 12 Vienna Wafers
  • 2 c. white dipping chocolate wafers, I used Chocoley brand, melted
  • 1 pouch, white cookie decorating icing

How to cook Mummy Cookies

  1. Melt the chocolate following manufacturers instructions.  Dip the cookie into the chocolate, covering completely.  Move to a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment and set aside for an hour to set completely.
  2. Cut the tip off of the cookie icing pouch and make the "bandages" by criss crossing the frosting down the front of the cookie.  Attach mini chocolate chips as eyes.
  3. Let set for another 15 minutes before eating.
