Mac and Cheese Muffins #HolidaySideDish #MuffinMonday

Individual size mac and cheese made in a muffin tin.  Delicious hot from the oven as side dish or room temperature making them great for the lunch box.

We are celebrating three days of sharing Holiday Side Dish recipes this week......

Heather of Hezzi-D's Books and Cooks invited us to join her this week in sharing recipes for Holiday Sides.  We are posting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  This gives you plenty of time to plan your Holiday Menus.

Check out all the fabulous holiday side dishes:

I chose to share a recipe for individual Mac and Cheese made in muffin cups.  Why?  Well because today is also Muffin Monday, an event we celebrate on the last Monday of each month.  This month, Sue of Palatable Pastime asked us to go rogue and serve up anything that can be made in a muffin pan.

Let's take a look at the Rogue Muffins being shared today.......

Muffin Monday

MuffinMonday is a group of muffin loving bakers who get together once a month to bake muffins. You can see all of our lovely muffins by following our Pinterest board. Updated links for all of our past events and more information about Muffin Monday can be found on our home page.

I entertain A LOT during the holidays.  We have many fancy sit down dinners but we also have a lot of casual get togethers, including my very favorite when all the Grands come to have brunch and visit with Santa.

This year I am serving up a buffet that will include these wonderful individual mac and cheese cups.  The Angel Face, the Teen and all the great nieces and nephews are going to be thrilled.

The holidays around here start with Halloween and go non stop until January 6th when we have a final celebration for Epiphany.  Then we take a short break until it is time for Chinese New Year, Nicole's Birthday and Valentine's Day.

We've already celebrated Amy's Birthday this month and had a pumpkin carving party.  Next up is our Annual Scrapfest next Saturday. This means my TC family will be here for the weekend and I will be starting my Christmas Cards.  Wooohooooo.  When do the holiday celebrations start at your house?

  1. I knew I would love these, just from the title, Wendy. For mac and cheese, I am all about the crunchy outside bits and baking it in a muffin pan increases those exponentially! So much surface area. It's almost all crunchy outside bits. Brilliant!

  2. These are fantastic. I think the best part as far as holidays go, is that whoever makes them knows exactly how many servings because everyone will pick up just one and not have "Uncle Bob" take half the pan. How many servings is one of the most common holiday meal questions I get from readers.

  3. These are adorable! How can you not love individual sides like this?! My kids would eat these up.

    1. I made these in the morning and when the Teen and my great niece woke up they grabbed them for breakfast LOL.

  4. I love this idea Wendy! Individual servings like this are always a hit at my house.

    1. Thanks Renee. Haven't seen you in a while. Glad to hook up again in this event.

  5. Baked mac and cheese is my favorite! I love these little servings. Helps with portion control!

  6. These are perfect individual servings and look delicious!

  7. No more fighting over the crunch bits! Great idea!

  8. My kids would love the idea of a mac and cheese muffin! These look so creamy and delicious!
