Cranberry Raisin Bread #BreadBakers

This delicious quick bread is chock full of dried cranberries and golden raisins.  I enjoyed it in the morning with my coffee but it would also make a lovely dessert.

It's time for the Bread Bakers.........

Welcome to the first Bread Bakers of 2023, hosted by Kelly of Passion Kneaded.  Kelly chose a theme of Dried Fruits as January is National Dried Fruits month.  Let's take a look at what everyone baked up today.......

BreadBakers
#BreadBakers is a group of bread-loving bakers who get together once a month to bake bread with a common ingredient or theme. Follow our Pinterest board right here. Links are also updated each month on this home page.

We take turns hosting each month and choosing the theme/ingredient.

Cranberry Raisin Bread

I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com.  I made several adaptations to it.  I used the juice of one orange and then added milk to make 3/4 cup of liquid and I only used 1 cup each of the dried fruit instead of 3 cups as called for in the original recipe.

2 cups of dried fruit was plenty.  This is a very dense, delicious bread with a cakelike consistency making it suitable for breakfast, a brunch buffet or even a dessert.
