Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Casserole
Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Casserole
8-10 slices bread ( I used whole wheat because that is what I had, but any bread will do and stale bread works very nicely in this recipe)
8 eggs
1 1/2 c. half and half (or milk)
1 lb. bulk pork sausage, cooked and crumbled.
2 c. shredded colby-jack cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Cube the bread and scatter over the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking pan. Sprinkle with the cheese and pork sausage. Whisk eggs and cream in a small bowl, season with salt and pepper. Pour over ingredients in baking pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, bake at 375* for 45-50 minutes, until eggs are puffed and set. Print Recipe
I am going to share this recipe at Simple Supper Tuesday even if it is a breakfast.
There is nothing on the schedule for this week....I know, crazy, right?? I have Parish Council Meeting on Monday and I am taking my friend Karen for gall bladder surgery on Thursday during the day and then we have choir that night so we will be having leftovers.
Please stop by each day for photos and recipes and join me at MPM on Monday for tons of great menu ideas.

Your menu sounds good. I need to make that breakfast casserole the next time my cousins come to visit. Looks good! Really good!
