You can, of course, serve this rice with steaks, but it is also a great side for a beef or pork roast. I served it up with this Avocado Chicken.....it was perfect!!

Copycat Texas Roadhouse Seasoned Rice
Change up your holiday table by serving rice instead of potatoes. This delicious recipe is a copycat of one served at Texas Roadhouse.

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. uncooked rice, rinsed in cold water
- 1 Vidalia onion, diced
- 2 T. paprika
- 2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. cayenne pepper, more to taste, if desired
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 4 c. chicken broth
- pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the rice in the butter, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, until lightly browned
- Add the onions and cook for a few minutes until fragrant and translucent. Stir in the paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, and soy sauce.
- Add the broth and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed. Taste and season with pepper, if desired.
