    Ingredients

    • 1 stick butter
    • 2 c. uncooked rice, rinsed in cold water
    • 1 Vidalia onion, diced
    • 2 T. paprika
    • 2 t. garlic powder
    • 1/2 t. cayenne pepper, more to taste, if desired
    • 1/2 c. soy sauce
    • 4 c. chicken broth
    • pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the rice in the butter, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, until lightly browned
    2. Add the onions and cook for a few minutes until fragrant and translucent. Stir in the paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, and soy sauce.
    3. Add the broth and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed. Taste and season with pepper, if desired.
