Fresh Strawberries, Frozen Banana, Pineapple Juice, and Greek Yogurt combine to make a scrumptious, refreshing smoothie. Perfect for Breakfast or a post-workout snack.
Sue of Palatable Pastime is hosting today and invited us to share any recipe containing strawberries.
I kept my recipe very simple because as you are reading this post I am in Europe for a WWII tour. Today we are scheduled to tour Dacchau.
Before we left the USA last Wednesday I worked like crazy trying to make recipes, take photos, and write articles for the events scheduled during the last 2 weeks of this month.
Before I share my Smoothie with you, let's take a look at the other Strawberry recipes being shared today......
- Strawberry Breakfast Pastry from Palatable Pastime
- Strawberry Smoothie from A Day in the Life on the Farm

Smoothies are a God-send on busy days. You can grab one as you run out the door for your exercise class. Enjoy one when you get home from a hike. Throw one together when you have been running errands and doing housework all morning and suddenly realize you forgot breakfast and are running on empty.
They can be made with any ingredients that you have on hand. This smoothie gets it's protein from yogurt but you can use peanut butter, almond milk, flax seeds, etc. I used pineapple juice with the fruit to add a little more sweetness but you can use any juice or omit the juice and add a bit of honey if the fruit you are using isn't adding enough sweetness for your liking. And speaking of fruit open your refrigerator and grab whatever you have on hand and don't stop at the fruit drawer, open that vegetable drawer and grab out some carrots, greens, beets, or cucumbers.
Here are some flavor profiles that I enjoy: Banana Pumpkin, Chocolate Cranberry Banana, Caramel Apple, Honey Oats, Orange Cream, Beet and Carrot, and Green Berry, to mention a few. Have fun and experiment with your favorite flavors.
