Happy 9th Day of Christmas!! I'm excited to be awake, showered, and dressed in daytime clothing for the first time since December 26th. I am going to try a cup of coffee, fingers crossed, and while enjoying that cup, I'm going to start thinking about food again.

It's time for the Weekly Menu. Since Christmas, Frank has been doing the cooking and giving me excellent nursing care. Our menu last week? Chicken Noodle Soup, every day. Mac and Cheese. Rotisserie Chicken, Grilled Cheese Sandwich. He made sure I was getting plenty of fluids and waited on me like I was an invalid. I am NOT a good patient. I hate being incapacitated and take it out on whoever is nearby....Poor Frank.
I'm going to take it easy today to make sure that this bug has truly and completely divorced me. Tomorrow is the Klik Little Christmas Celebration at Roz's. Frank will be attending. I hope to still be feeling well.
I canceled our dinner with the neighbors on Monday, and I'm going to leave it at that for the next couple of days and take it very slow.
That being said, I am anxious to get on with life. I have a hair appointment on Tuesday that I had rescheduled from last week, and we have dinner plans with friends that evening that I'm hoping to make.
Then the Christmas Season is over.....and I missed most of it. We will begin taking down the Christmas Decorations. I'm anxious to start planning for the Winter celebrations. We have several birthdays, the Lunar New Year, and Valentine's Day.
On Friday, we will be driving out to Kalamazoo to celebrate the first of these birthdays with our dear friend, Sr. MaryAnn.
