The Second Day of Christmas and the Weekly Menu

Today is the second day of Christmas,  and we were supposed to go see Annie at our local theater with Amy and Doug.  However, Santa brought me a case of the coughing crud for Christmas, and though I tried to power my way through yesterday, I ended up in bed as soon as we got home at 6;30 pm.

I slept until the dogs awoke me at 5:30 this morning.  Took more meds and went back to bed at 8 am, staying in bed until almost noon.  Got up long enough to realize that I wasn't going anywhere.  Called Amy and told her to give our tickets to someone else and enjoy the show, and went back to bed.

It is now nearly 5 pm, and I just awoke again.   Frank made me a pot of Chicken Noodle Soup while I slept.  It smells good, but I'm not sure I can handle it right now.  Perhaps when I awaken a bit more.  I hope that soup does the trick because I have 10 more days of celebration coming up.  Luckily, tomorrow and Monday are pretty quiet, allowing me to get ready for the rest of the week.

Tuesday night, the Bonacorsis and Luths are coming over for a casual dinner and game night.  New Year's Eve finds us at a gathering with our Dive Family at the Malinowski's, and New Year's Day, we are celebrating Orthodox Christmas.
