Boy, this house sure is quiet. Dian and his family left yesterday, and the silence is deafening. I'm going to certainly miss all the squeals and laughter those children brought into our house. It was a wonderful visit, and I look forward to the next time.
Today is St. Nicholas Day. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children. He is also the precursor to our modern-day Santa Claus. We usually celebrate St. Nick Day at Amy's house, but this year Jessica is hosting.

Our choir is performing Christmas Carols at our church in Marine City, where a Merrytime Christmas Celebration is taking place all day. We sing at 1 pm, then head to Jessica's afterward.
Tomorrow, we are going to the neighboring town of Lexington for a Carpenter Christmas Tribute. We will be stopping for dinner on the way home.
Monday evening, we are attending a Wagner family wine dinner at one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate Sharon's birthday. Wagner family wines are always amazing, and the restaurant does a beautiful job of presenting and pairing each bottle.
We are meeting friends that we haven't seen in a long while on Tuesday for dinner, but then the rest of the week is back to normal. I will finish the decorating and get some more Christmas Shopping done, preparing for our annual Santa party that we look forward to each year.
