Our administrator for World Wine Travel, Camilla of Culinary Cam, asked us to share the sips and nibbles we enjoyed during our Summer Travels.
We recently purchased an RV and have been traveling locally, enjoying time with family and friends.
When packing the camper, I included a bottle of Chevalier de Lafoux Sainte Anne Rosé Cotes De Provence that I had purchased from Total Wine.
Rose is my go-to wine during the summer months. This was my first tasting of this winery in Provence, where Rosé is king. This is a light, fruity wine. Perfect for sipping on its own while enjoying a campfire, or for pairing with salads, chicken, or fish. I am going to buy another bottle to pair with some mildly spiced Thai food. I think it will be an excellent pairing, and at only $13.99 a bottle (available at Total Wine), I can experiment.
I enjoyed this wine with a typical summertime dinner of Grilled Chicken Breast, Cucumber Salad, Sourdough Bread, Macaroni Salad, and Watermelon. It was lovely.
