I served this salad with Grilled Steak Bearnaise and Gratin Dauphinoise. Those recipes will be shared later this month. It would be just as happy alongside hot dogs and hamburgers, or delicious with grilled chicken.

Strawberry and Tomato Salad
This fun summer salad takes only moments to put together and makes a delightful addition to whatever you are grilling and serving up.
Prep time: 5 MinTotal time: 5 Min
Ingredients
- 1 T. white wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 small shallot, minced
- 16 oz. grape tomatoes, halved
- 8 oz. strawberries, hulled and halved or quartered
- handful fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Whisk together the vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, and shallot until emulsified in a serving bowl.
- Add the tomatoes, strawberries and basil.
- Toss to coat and serve.

I made this easy peasy salad as I had got some strawberries from the farmer's market. It is a delicious salad. Added some feta to it.
