Peach Glazed Chicken Wings #BakingBloggers

These amazing wings are so very easy to make and absolutely delicious.  I found a hot pepper peach jam at my grocers, making it a three ingredient dish.  Can't ask for more than that.....

Peach Glazed Chicken Wings

Welcome to the Baking Bloggers.......
My friend Sue of Palatable Pastime hosts a group  on the third Monday of each month called Baking Bloggers.  Sue provides us with an ingredient and sets us loose.  The only requirement is that at least some part of the recipe must involve baking.

This month's ingredient is Peaches.  Let's see what everyone baked up for us..........

July 2020: Peaches

My first thought was, of course, a dessert but having just come off of Summer Dessert Week I decided to go savory.

jar of jam

I found a recipe at Epicurious for Peach Lacqured Chicken Wings and decided to make that.  However when I went to the grocers I spied this jar of Hot Pepper Peach Preserves and grabbed it.

The recipe called for peach preserves seasoned with ginger, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes so I figured these preserves would work perfectly and they did.

I seasoned the wings with seasoning salt and put them in a hot oven for 15 minutes.  I then flipped them and let them cook for another 15 minutes.  I brushed them with the preserves that I melted in the microwave and then placed them under the broiler for another 10-12 minutes until the glaze was set and the chicken was cooked through and browned in spots.

They were dinner for the 3 of us one night with a side of slaw and potato salad.  I made another batch with the remaining preserves as an appetizer with friends before dinner.

  • 2-3 lbs chicken wing segments
  • Seasoning salt to taste

  1. Oooh, what a great idea, Wendy! It just so happens that when I made my regular peach jam a few weeks back, I also made a few jars of habanero peach jam which would be perfect for wings.

  2. I love that we went savory on this event. I have some apricot jam I'll have to try. But once I get some peaches in, I'll whip up some peach jam and give this a go.

    1. Yes, any jam will work. It's not peach season here for another month.
