Pellet Smoked Weisswurst Hoagies with Red Cabbage
Tender Weisswurst is deliciously flavored using a pellet smoker in only an hour.
Ingredients
- 5 Weisswurst Sausages
- 5 Hoagie Rolls
- 3/4 c. Red Cabbage and Apples, if desired
- Grainy Mustard, if desired
Instructions
- Heat a pellet smoker to 225*.
- Place the sausages directly on the grate, close and smoke for 1-2 hrs, until an internal temperature of 165* is reached.
- Place each onto a hoagie or hot dog roll.
- Top with red cabbage and/or mustard, if desired.
Notes
I have a Traegar smoker, but this recipe is adaptable to any smoker or a grill using a pellet box.
