Happy Labor Day Weekend and the Weekly Menu

And POOF.....just like that Summer is over.  Football games have started.  School has started for many in other States, however in Michigan most of our schools don't start until after this Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Varsity Football Team had their second game last night.  We attend each game now that we have a new daughter who has become a cheerleader.  They lost but it was a very close and exciting game.

Games are normally on Friday but they had it last night so that folks could head out for a last hurrah before summer is over.  We are staying home but we still have a busy weekend and week coming up.

The Weekly Menu that I'm sharing today reflects that business......

Tomorrow morning we are meeting our friends, the Greens, at the New Baltimore Art Fair where our daughter and son in law have a booth and will be selling their Petoskey and Pine Products. Then in the afternoon we are heading over to celebrate Frank's brother's birthday.

Sunday, after Mass, we will head over to the Algonac Art Fair and see what they have to offer.  Then we will head back to New Baltimore so that we can meet up for dinner with Nic and Pierre after they are done at the Art Show.

Monday we are having John and Kirsten over for dinner.  They just got back from watching their son compete in the World Aerobatics Competition in Romania.  I can't wait to hear all about their trip.  Team USA placed Silver with their son, Mike, placing first in the US Team standings.

Tuesday is the first day of school.  This means life might slow down a bit but there will still be cheer practices, homework and football games.  I have tried to plan meals that are quick and easy to ease our way into the school year.
