How we celebrated Independence Day and the Weekly Menu

Phew....we had a very busy weekend!!  Friday all of my siblings came over for dinner to welcome home Larry and Mary who are visiting from California for the month of July.  This left us with some leftover ham and also ham bones to use in this week's menu.

Saturday, we went to visit Mom and took her our for ice cream. Then we went to Mass and over to our friend's, the Bendas, for a 4th of July Party.

Sunday we co hosted a Crab Boil at our friends, The Green's.  None of us had ever done a crab boil before but we gave it a shot and SUCCESS!!!  Except that I didn't take any photos to share.  You know what that means?  Yep, I'm gonna have to do it again.  In the meanwhile, I have leftover clams, shrimp and crab that will be made into a seafood pasta for dinner this week.  I also have some leftover chicken and the makings for salad that I had taken for those who were not seafood lovers or are allergic to shellfish.  I also have some leftover potatoes from the boil that will be used up this week as well.

Today is going to be a quiet day.  We will go visit Mom and lay around in the pool with our books, recuperating from the busy weekend.  Tonight I have a parish council meeting.

Tomorrow I have a meeting regarding Sister's retirement party, after which Mary and I are going into town to browse the shops and have some lunch.

Wednesday, Mary and I are taking Mom Klik to Bingo.  Mom Klik is then going to spend the night with us so she can spend some time with Mary and Larry.

We will be having lunch with Nicole on Thursday when we go down to take Mom Klik home and then on Friday, Larry and Mary are leaving to go visit her sister on the west side of the State for a few days and Frank and I are going out on a date.

So here is what is on our Weekly Menu.  Please stop by during the week for recipes and photos.
