Strawberry Shortcake and Cheesecake collide in this delicious and easy dessert.
S is for Strawberries........
My blogging friends and I get together every other Wednesday to share recipes that start or feature ingredients as we work our way through the alphabet. Let's take a look at the other S recipes being shared today........
This delicious dessert starts with a white cake crust, topped with a no-bake cream cheese filling that is loaded with strawberries.
I served it up when celebrating my son-in-law Pierre's birthday. It is a very impressive dessert. Nobody will realize how easy it is.
Last year, for the Letter S, I shared Semitas. In 2025, I shared a recipe for Southern Style BBQ Shrimp.

Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake
Strawberry Shortcake and Cheesecake collide in this delicious and easy dessert.
Prep time: 30 MinCook time: 10 MinTotal time: 40 Min
Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix + ingredients called for on the box
- 16 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 2 c. heavy (whipping) cream
- 1 quart strawberries, sliced
- 1 pint strawberries, stemmed and hulled, left whole
Instructions
- Make the cake mix according to package directions. Pour 1/2 into the bottom of an 8" springform pan that has been treated with baking spray. (Use remaining cake mix for cupcakes or a single layer cake.) Bake in a preheated 325 ° oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- In the large bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the whisk attachment, cream the cheese until light and fluffy, and mix in the sugar. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the cream until incorporated. Increase speed and whip until stiff peaks form.
- Press some sliced strawberries against the side of the springform pan, touching the cake. Place the whole strawberries on top of the cake and cover with the cheesecake mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
