Valentine Day and Weekly Menu
I am getting ready to celebrate Valentine Day here on the Farm. Today the Angel Face is spending the day and we are going to make heart shaped grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. was supposed to spend the day and then tomorrow we were taking her and the Teen to see Addam's Family; The Musical. Now the Teen has invited her friend (see below) to attend and we will be taking them out to dinner afterwards.
That dreaded COVID bug has bitten Angel Face, Daddy and now Mama....fortunately they are vaxxed and boosted so symptoms are very mild but they are still under quarantine.

Weekly Menu for Valentines Week.
A couple of items got moved from last week. On Tuesday, when we were supposed to have Italian Chili, I was feeling pretty punk and spent most of the day in bed. Frank made a wonderful spaghetti dinner for us while I rested. The chili is being made for dinner tonight. My friend Tami and her kids are coming over to join us and spend the evening playing games or watching movies. They will decide how we spend the evening once they are here.
Last night we ended up going out to dinner with friends so the Cod Curry is being made for dinner on Wednesday after Food Pantry. Tomorrow we are invited to Frank's sister's house for dinner. Monday we are going out with Kurt and Kim and Tuesday we are hosting a Valentine's dinner for friends.
This week is chock full of recipes for you. Each day this week there is at least one event and some days there are two so make sure you stop by for the fun!!

Sour Cherry Pie #ValentinesDayFood
We could share anything Valentine's Day related. Main dishes, desserts, snacks...whatever speaks of Valentine's to us. I decided to share a dessert large enough to share with all the Valentine's in your life.
Frank and I spend nearly every day alone together and love doing so but, because of that, we really don't need a "date night". So on Valentine's Day we are hosting a dinner party for our dear friend's, Bob and Cathy, who are going to be in town. We have also invited our mutual friend, Chet, who we have not seen in forever and Bob's sister, Barb, and her husband, Eric, who joined us at this wonderful Wine Tasting Dinner.
If you, too are serving guests or celebrating Valentine's with your children this year, think about making this pie. Heck, if it is just the two of you, think about making this pie. It will make a great breakfast the next day!
