This is a week-long event. I have posts scheduled for today, Wednesday, and Friday, but if I get ambitious and find the time in between entertaining my bonus family from Denmark, I may post on Tuesday and/or Thursday as well.

When doing my holiday baking, I like to have a large assortment of cookies on my platter, and one of them is always a bar.
In years past, I have shared recipes for Magical Cookie Bars, Toffee Bars, Red Velvet Cookie Bars, and Sadie Snaps, among others. You can find all the cookie bars I had shared by entering cookie bars into the search engine found at the top left of this post.
I decided to make these cookie bars for all the "nutty" people in my life. You know, the people who love nuts of any kind. The original recipe, found in Pillsbury's Bake Off Cookie Book, called for only peanuts. I adapted it and used mixed nuts. They were delicious.
Yield: 20 bars
