W is for Whiskey.......

It is also for wonderful, whimsical, warm, and welcoming.  All these adjectives describe this Whiskey Cocktail that you will be happy to serve up to your family and friends this holiday season.

Espresso Martinis are all the rage right now.  While they are called Martinis and they are served in martini glasses they are not true martinis at all as they don't contain gin nor vermouth.  They are not ever a true vodka martini because, again, no vermouth.

But they are delicious and as much of a martini as a Cosmopolitan or any of the other fancy drinks out there that label themselves martinis.  This cocktail doesn't contain vodka but starts with a shot of Salted Caramel Canadian Crown Whiskey.

You can call it a cocktail.  You can call it a martini.  I call it Delicious!!!

Whiskey Espresso Cocktail

Whiskey Espresso Cocktail

Salted Caramel Royal Crown Whiskey hooks up with Kahlua, Creme de Banana and Espresso for a different take on an Espresso Martini.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • Caramel syrup
  • 1 oz. Crown Royal Salted Caramel Whiskey
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • .5 oz Creme de Banana
  • .75 oz. cold brew concentrate
  • .25 oz. simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Drizzle a martini glass with the caramel syrup, set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add the whiskey, kahlua, banana liqueur, cold brew concentrate and simple syrup to the ice. Cover and shake for at least 30 seconds.
  4. Pour into the glass and serve immediately.

  3. I have a couple cocktails that call for banana liqueur that I would like to try now! Is it bad to say that I hope it tastes like artificial banana flavoring? I love banana popsicles for instance but prefer fresh bananas a la carte.

  6. Wow, what a cocktail Wendy. I really need to get my hands on some caramel whisky and creme de banana. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy it for Christmas get together.
