We have an incredible giveaway below and would love if you would take a moment to read about it and the prizes you can win!
My recipe today contains only 5 ingredients, one of which is powdered sugar, this made me appreciate our sponsor, Dixie Crystals, very much. When you are only using 5 ingredients you wan to make sure you use the very best around. I always know that the products I have from Dixie Crystals are going to be high quality.
They gifted me with both granulated and powdered sugar and have a terrific gift that is being raffled off to one of our lucky readers. You can see a list of the wonderful prizes available in this post and enter to win one of them at the bottom of this page.
I was reading a memoir called The Road to Coorain which takes place in Australia. Everything I do seems to inspire me to the kitchen. I can't seem to read anything without noting the foods and the importance they play in the story. In this case I was struck by the author's memories of her mother while they lived in the Outback and how she always had a complete meal on the table each night, including dessert.
I researched Australian desserts and came across this one for Chocolate Crackles. While this probably was not one of the desserts that the author would have had from her mom, it is a very popular dessert with children in Australia.
It was pretty popular with my Angel Face too. Here she is measuring out the sugar for me. In fact, this delicious dessert requires no cooking or baking, so this 5 year old sous chef made them from start to finish.
Let's take a look at what other sweets are being shared today.....
