You can use any beer that you like in this recipe. I decided to use Summer Shandy because I love the lemony flavor. Here's another little secret for you. Don't want to use beer? You can use Club Soda or Sparkling Water. It is the carbonation that you need to help your bread rise.
This bread is great as a side with soup or salad for a quick and easy summer meal. Enjoy........

Beer bread is one of my favorites, Wendy. I've never heard of summer shandy but it sounds delightfully refreshing. Perfect flavoring for bread or to sip on a hot day. How many ounces are in that bottle, in case I need to substitute?
ReplyDeleteYou need 1 1/2 c. of liquid (12 oz) Stacy.
