Crepes are such an elegant dish to serve, yet so very easy to make. They can be served for any meal and they can be sweet or savory.
I have made several chocolate breads including Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls, Chocolate Yeast Bread, and this Chocolate Bunny Bread.
I have also made numerous breads that contain chocolate like this Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Croissants, and Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffins.

Chocolate Crepes with Strawberry Cream Cheese Whipped Cream
These delicious, tender chocolate crepes topped with Strawberry Cheesecake Whipped Cream and Raspberries are a wonderful choice to serve to your Valentine tomorrow morning for breakfast or tomorrow evening for dessert.
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 20 MinInactive time: 15 MinTotal time: 45 Min
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 3 T. butter, melted + more for pan
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 T. powdered sugar
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 T. strawberry syrup
- raspberries or strawberries, if desired.
Instructions
- Place the milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, sugar, salt, flour, and cocoa powder in a blender and blend until completely incorporated and smooth. Let rest for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in the large bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the whisk attachment, cream the cheese with the sugar until light and fluffy.
- Lower the mixing speed and gradually stir in the cream until incorporated. Add the syrup, then increase the speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Heat a 10" skillet over medium heat. Coat the bottom with a little butter. Stir the batter and pour a scant 1/4 of batter into the pan, swirling to evenly coat the bottom.
- Cook until the edges start to crisp, about half a minute, flip and cook for another 10 seconds. Remove and set aside. Continue in this manner until all the batter is used.
- To serve, roll or fold the desired number of crepes onto a plate. Top with the whipped cream and sprinkle with fresh berries, if desired.1
