A Pickled Garlic Martini in honor of The Martini Club

This sounds like a strange concoction, but it is surprisingly good.  It makes a wonderful pre-dinner cocktail.

Pickled Garlic Martini

The cloudiness and strangeness of this cocktail make it perfect to serve at an Adult Halloween gathering.  I enjoy serving specialty cocktails when entertaining.  Other Halloween libations you can find on this blog include a Blood Orange Prosecco Cocktail, Sweet Poison, Poison Apple Cocktail, Candy Corn Cocktail, and Witches Brew.

Pickled Garlic

Our son, Tony, gifted us a couple of jars of pickled garlic that he made.  They are so good, a little nutty-tasting with a bit of heat.  I like adding them to my charcuterie and relish trays.

The Summer Guests

I read the Summer Guests while on vacation. This is the second book in The Martini Club series, about a group of retired CIA agents who live on the East Coast.  Their days of being spooks are supposed to be over, and they gather together quite often to drink cocktails, eat food, and discuss books, calling themselves The Martini Club, as that is their drink of choice.

Of course, they keep finding themselves embroiled in one mystery after another and cannot help but get involved, putting their past training to work.  They are all in their 70's, eccentric, and fun.  I look forward to the next book in the series.

Pickled Garlic Martini pin

I think the Martini Club would enjoy this fun cocktail before one of their potluck dinners.

I am linking up with Foodies Read.  Stop by and see what the other foodies are reading this month.
