This is a simple, delicious salad. A perfect side dish for the cold winter months when fresh produce is not at it's peak. On the off-chance there are leftovers you can add a can of tuna and enjoy it for lunch the following day.

It's amazing how good and hearty beans taste and how easy they are to make. This simple bean salad looks delicious and throwing in tuna sounds like a good addition.
ReplyDeleteFrom side to main with one easy addition.
DeleteI'm looking to add more bean side dishes to our menu and this is so easy, I can't wait to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Jolene.
DeleteOk, I need to use white beans more often. We do white canellini beans frequently, but the little white beans are so tender, which do you use? I love the idea of adding tuna, I would even think it would reinvent the next day as a sandwich filling that way.
ReplyDeleteI use either cannellini or northern usually.
DeleteHow easy and nutritious! I cracked up at your alliterative paragraph.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen...I sometimes wonder if my readers think I"m Bonkers LOL
DeleteSo simple but definitely more than the sum of its parts! I always have a can of white beans in the pantry and, even in winter here in Texas, fresh basil growing in a pot!
ReplyDeleteI think you will enjoy this dish Stacy.
DeleteYeah! Wendy, your recipe might just be my favorite this week. It's simple, has ingredients I love, and is something I could totally see me making on a busy weeknight to go with just about anything!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Colleen. Thanks.
DeleteThis looks amazing! I will definitely be making this soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it as much as we do Cam.
DeleteWendy like how you've come up with so many sentences beginning with B. B for brilliant. As for the easy and yet nutritious salad, what a great combo beans and basil. Will be trying this salad out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mayuri. Enjoy.
DeleteThis sounds so flavorful.
ReplyDeleteIt is Sneha.
DeleteMost of the time the simple recipes are the best. I will try to remember this one for summer (and fresh basil)! Thanks. I hadn't heard of that cookbook either!
ReplyDeleteIt's an oldie but a goodie Debra.
DeleteSimple, nutritious, and comforting! This is a quick and satisfying side that I would love to make. Love basil and white bean combo.
