Our last RV Adventure to Jellystone Park in Frankenmuth, Michigan, was supposed to include the Angel Face and Little Miss M. Unfortunately, Little Miss M, was under the weather and couldn't go with us.
So I decided to make one last RV trip before we leave for Italy. We packed up and headed to the KOA in Port Huron, Michigan. Come join us on our Adventure......
Day 1: Check-in was at 3 pm. Little Miss M, Mama, and Daddy arrived as we were setting up and lent us a hand.
Daddy and Grampy relaxed for a bit while Little Miss M, Mama, and I went for a walk to the playground. While we were there, Aunt Amy and Uncle Doug arrived.
We returned to the campsite. Grampy grilled chicken, I opened deli salads, Amy brought out some watermelon and homemade sourdough bread, Marina tossed together a green salad, and we enjoyed dinner.
I LOVED those gifts, and the pool/hot tub vacuum that both families gave me, but my very best gift came when I opened the package that let me know another little package is on the way!!
Day 2: Rain, Rain Go Away!! We awoke to rain. We had Sausage and Eggs for breakfast and now we are watching cartoons, hoping the sun comes out. They do have some crafts scheduled for inside the Pavilion this morning, so we should have fun, rain or shine.
We walked in the drizzle to the Pavilion, where Little Miss M colored a cupcake. It looks very similar to the beautiful cake she made for me.
The rain let up enough for us to take a walk around the campground. There are stores, restaurants, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, three pools, an arcade, and several playgrounds. The campground is attached to an amusement park called Sawmill City. This park has bumper boats, water slides, go-carts, etc. Unfortunately, it is closed today due to the weather.
Then we went to the Town Hall, where Little Miss M made a Jellyfish. The rain began again, in earnest, so we went back to the trailer for lunch. We are now staying dry inside the RV, watching cartoons, and writing this post.
It stopped raining, so we walked into "town". It is a cute little area with a pizza/ice cream parlor, candy store, and souvenir shop.
We got ice cream. Little Miss M had Raspberry Sorbet topped with Chocolate. It started raining again while we were eating our ice cream, so we headed back to the RV. We are watching The Secret Life of Pets, and hoping the rain stops so that we can have a campfire this evening.
It did stop long enough for us to make Pie-Iron Pizzas. My pie-iron is large enough to hold two sandwiches, so here you see a completed calzone with two more in the fire, and one more being assembled. Marissa, Hunter, and Little Miss M enjoyed S'Mores after dinner.
It started to drizzle, sending us into clean-up mode before we were ready. Luckily, we were cozy inside watching a movie before the deluge hit again.
Day 3: Another rainy, dreary day. We had breakfast, and then Little Miss M and Mama went to do one last craft while we buttoned up the computer to head home.
This is likely the last RV trip until February, when we head down south for a couple of weeks. The trailer will get some use, though, as our family from Denmark is coming in for a few weeks at Thanksgiving, and we will use it as our guest house.
