These crab puffs look and taste like they were a lot of hard work. You don't have to tell your family and friends how very easy they are to put together.
I made them in the morning and refrigerated them until my sister let me know she was on the way. I preheated the oven and popped them in. When my sister and bil walked in the door I was plating them and Frank was popping the bubbly. It was a very nice start to a wonderful and long overdue visit.

Crab Puffs
Creamy, spicy crab dip surrounded by golden brown puffed pastry for an elegant and tasty appetizer for your next socially distanced gathering.

Ingredients
- 6 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 (6 oz) can premium crabmeat, picked over
- 1 scallion, white and green parts, minced
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 t. Horseradish sauce
- juice and zest from 1/4 lemon
- dash of Cajun seasoning blend
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 sheet frozen puffed pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Combine the cream cheese, crab, scallions, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish sauce, lemon zest and juice and the Cajun seasoning. Taste and season with salt and pepper, as needed.
- Unfold the puffed pastry, rolling out seams if needed. Cut into 16 equal squares and place onto a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment or a silicone mat.
- Using a small cookie scoop, place the filling into the middle of each square. Brush the exposed pastry with egg wash.
- Bake in a preheated 400* oven for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
