But each time that I left my Lord in my wicked youth and childhood, when I returned He welcomed me into His loving embrace and we began again where we left off in my infancy of faith. He never left me. He stood by and allowed me to stumble and fall and when I crawled back to Him.....He raised me up. How can I sing enough praise to such a good and loving God!!!
So this time of year is when I reflect on His goodness and His love. A love so deep that He allowed himself to suffer tremendously, die a hideous death and rise in glory to save our sinful souls. How great is our God!!

Where is lent in the Bible? It's not!
ReplyDeleteNo, that true. The custom of Lent is not found in the bible but the practice of repentance and mourning in ashes can be found in Samuel, Job, Daniel and Matthew.
DeleteIt is just a way that some Christians, including me, use to honor God and draw closer to him at this time of year.
Lent actually means Spring, so I wish you a Happy Spring and I thank you for stopping by to visit.
We really have no clue as to how far away we've wandered from God until we come back. Thankfully, he's always there to welcome us!
ReplyDeleteYes Lisa, Luckily for us. Thanks for stopping by.
